PELEE BY FERRY

The island is serviced by two ferries, the MV Jiimaan and the MV Pelee Islander (owned by Pelee Island Transportation Company, a subsidiary of the OSTC). The MV Jiimaan is the largest passenger ferry along the Lake Erie route to Pelee Island. At 61 m (200 ft) in length, the Jiimaan can transport 400 passengers and 40 vehicles. The MV Pelee Islander runs between Pelee Island and Sandusky, Ohio from late spring until early fall, while the Jiimaan runs from the Canadian ports of Leamington and/or Kingsville from early spring until early December. The leisurely cruise to Pelee Island is 1 1/2 hours from the Candadian mainland and 1 3/4 hours from the U.S. mainland. The ferry service from Canada splits the season between the ports of Leamington and Kingsville, leaving from Leamington from early spring untilAugust then finishes the season leaving from nearby Kingsville.

PELEE BY PERSONAL WATERCRAFT
Located at N 41 49.00 W 82 39.40 in the North Bay of Pelee Island, Scudder Marina offers all the essentials and more for day and overnight stays. The marina can accomodate up to a 65' vessel; 7-9' depth at most docks; 30 amp. service and water; restrooms and showers open 24 hrs; gas dock and other services. PELEE BY PLANE
The island has a paved 3300 ft. runway with customs service (scheduled in advance) and receives private aircraft from both Canada and the U.S. Professional, safe and reliable air service to the island from the U.S. is provided by Griffing Flying Service. The Pelee Island Transportation Company offers regular scheduled flights during the winter months from the Windsor airport and can be contacted at 1-800-661-2220.
